101 Gender Affirming Products That Trans Women Will Love

Gender affirming products are an important part of manifesting our identities on the physical plane. Less profoundly, we like buying shit that makes us feel pretty. So I’ve compiled a list of 101 yeah you read that right, over 100 products I’ve personally used and have given me gender euphoria in some degree.

This is going to be a list of products that are already, in my mind CTG Approved.

For the sake of the article, your sanity, and mine. I will not be explaining the five points for each item because that would be insane. Rather these are products I already use and love. I will write a quick blurb about how these are gender affirming products for me personally.

I will also try and separate by category for ease of scrolling, so without further ado lets dive in. I’m seriously so pumped for this article.

The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush is my go to everyday blush, the shade range is very comprehensive and accommodating to all skintones/undertones. Shade Hope is the one I use personally. This blush is on my list of gender affirming products because it makes my cheeks look very soft, dewy, and feminine.

The Tik Tok hype is real, this is my absolute favorite concealer of all time. It’s medium/full coverage has a dewy finish and blends like a dream! This is one of my favorite gender affirming products because it erases my dark circles which can weigh my face down and make me look more masculine.

The Make Up For Ever HD Skin Concealer is a great backup if Kosas isn’t available. I’d say I like Kosas just a little bit more but sometimes you need concealer and don’t have the time to go to 5 different Sephora’s. This concealer is on my list of gender affirming products because it brightens and lifts.

The Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Concealer is for my full coverage sweeties. Seriously this stuff goes on like spackle, a little goes a long way, and it lasts forever. This concealer is on my list of gender affirming products because it erases anything unsightly on my skin. It’s a clean slate for your face.

NARS Radiant Creamy Color Corrector

The NARS Radiant Creamy Color Corrector has 4 shades of orange to help you color correct, the coverage is amazing and I’ve used it on the past to for my lady stache. This is great for canceling out the blue cast left by 5 ‘o clock shadow which is why I consider this a must-have on my list of gender affirming products for trans women.

Patrick Ta Major Headlines – Double-Take Creme & Powder Blush Duo

The Patrick TA Major Headlines Blush is one of my fave blushes, it gives me like 2000’s Britney Spears vibes and the color is sooo vibrant. I feel like this blush is gonna last forever. This product is on my list of gender affirming products because its so pink and bright and just makes me look like a painting. Not to mention this shade is called, She’s a Doll!

The MAKEUP BY MARIO Master Mattes Pallet is one of my holy grail products. I feel this is something every girl should have in their makeup kit. The Juicy Tubes lip gloss is an ode to 2000’s It Girls. There’s just something so c*nt about having one of these in your purse. Not to mention the gloss stays! More so than any other gloss I’ve used. This product is one of my favorite gender affirming products because it makes me feel like a Bratz Doll.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Luxury Eyeshadow Pallet

I love the Charlotte Tilbury Quads so much for ease of use and on the go makeup, maybe you’re in the back of an uber and only have 15 minutes to beat your face. These are also great for beginners, it’s very easy to navigate. This pallet is on my list of gender affirming products because the shimmer shades really open my eyes up for a doe-y feminine appearance.

The NYX Color Correcting Concealer Pallet is an OG color corrector. I’m sure most of you know about this but this concealer pallet has withstood time and is still at a very reasonable price. This product is on my list of gender affirming products because I’ve used it in the past to conceal facial hair… and hickies.

The ONE/SIZE Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder in pink is hands down the best setting powder I’ve ever used! The pink is perfect for not having a white cast on your face, no flashback mary moments here. This setting powder is one of my fave gender affirming products because I’m able to set my makeup without looking too cakey.

The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lipliner in shade pillow talk is my favorite liner of all time. The quality is amazing and you don’t have to go over multiple times like with other lip liners. This is on my list of gender affirming products because ithe liner subtly adds volume to my lips and is the perfect nude for my skin tone.

The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Gloss is the perfect compliment to the liner mentioned above. This is my every day lip gloss and the boys I kiss love it 😉 This is on my list of gender affirming products because it looks so pretty and it feels like I have no product on my lips. Plus it doesn’t do that weird thing where your lips get all flaky after.

This Sephora Liner is the perfect eyeliner if you want to do a 90’s grunge look or if you want a more dramatic eye for a night out. It blends easily and if you happen to fall asleep with it on, it holds up well. This is on my list of gender affirming products because I’m able to create a vampy look for fall easily.

The Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Pallet is definitely on the pricier side but with that being said I do get a lot of wear out of it. Like I seriously grab this pallet everyday. This pallet is on my list of gender affirming products because it’s very easy to use and the shimmer shades are so sparkly and vibrant. They’re perfect for opening up your eyes!

In comparison to the pallet above, ColourPop’s Pressed Powder Pallets are some of the most pigmented and easy to use pallets I’ve ever purchased, also they’re so cheap it’s insane! This product is on my list of gender affirming products because this brand is one of the first brands I’ve ever purchased as a trans woman. ColourPop will always have a place in my heart.

Clinique’s Black Honey is one of my favorite lippies of all time and it’s a universally flattering lip color on all skin tones. If your lazy when it comes to makeup or just looking for the perfect kiss of color this lip is for you! This is one of my favorite gender affirming products because it’s so effortless and trans women all the time ask me what lip I’m wearing!

Morphe M506 – Tapered Mini Blender Eyeshadow Brush

The Morphe M506 Eyeshadow Brush is the perfect brush for doing your eyeshadow as a trans woman. If you are self conscious about your brow bone it is essential to keep your blending tight, I talk about why in my makeup for trans women tutorial. That being said this is one of my holy grail gender affirming products because I’m able to achieve a feminine eye look all thanks to this brush.

e.l.f. Expert Liquid Eyeliner

The e.l.f. Expert Liquid Liner is such a major throwback but I still swear by this stuff and it’s only $3. If you are looking to do a dramatic wing and you’re not afraid of liquid liner this stuff works wonder. This is on my list of gender affirming products because I was able to perfect my cat eye early in my transition with this liner!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Chocolate

The Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara in chocolate has been my go to mascara as of late, I love that it’s a dark brown so it removes a little bit of harshness. That being said it only takes one coat to have beautiful lashes! This is on my list of gender affirming products because it makes my lashes look so much thicker and fuller and I don’t have to bother with falsies.

Maybelline Lash Sensation Sky High Mascara

The Sky High Mascara is a well known dupe for Too Faced, and although they aren’t exactly the same you still get length and volume for a fraction of the cost. Still you get coverage in about two strokes. This is on my list of gender affirming products because I still get those Minnie Mouse Lashes without breaking the bank, then I have more money for other things that make me feel pretty!

This Coconut Body Wash by Dove is my favorite because it preps your legs for shaving and smells so good. When you choose a body wash, its imperative to make sure you don’t strip your skin of moisture. This is one of my essential gender affirming products because it keeps my skin feeling hydrated while also smelling delicious. This is great if you like to layer your fragrances.

Tree Hut Coco Colada Shea Sugar Coconut Body Scrub

I use this Sugar Body Scrub every time I shave my legs! My secret to smooth sexy legs is exfoliating before and after shaving. This makes sure you don’t get strawberry legs. This is one of my favorite gender affirming products because my legs are so smooth and feminine without any in grown hairs after! Also it smells good and goes great with the Dove coconut body wash.

eos Shea Better Shave Cream – Sensitive Skin 

Eos Shaving Cream is the only shaving cream I use if I can help it. The sensitive skin line is particularly appealing because my skin feels so hydrated after I’m done shaving. Sometimes if I forget lotion I don’t even notice. This is one of my top gender affirming products because I get smooth legs and a smooth face without stripping my skin of moisture!

Joy Teal Women’s Razor

The Joy Teal Women’s Razor I always grab because it comes with two blades, you can use one for face and one for body. You get a smooth shave and they come in pink and blue if that matters to you. These razors are on my list of gender affirming products because I can get a close shave and the blades last for a while! It’s not one of those razors for women that suck up moisture and get all slimy.

Gilette Pro Glide Razor

If you only use women’s razors, I’d highly encourage you to give the Gilette Pro Razor a chance. Okay let’s be real for a sec, men’s razors are so much better than women’s. Granted if you have a lot of facial hair this may be more up your alley but I’ve used these to shave my body too and they work amazing! Plus the razors last for weeks before you have to change them out (in my experience). This is on my list of gender affirming products because the shave I get is soooo close. It overrides the dysphoria of getting a men’s razor personally.

This OGX Coconut Lotion is the finishing touch on my leg shaving routine. I love smelling like coconut after and my legs feel so silky and smooth it was like I was never born a man lmao. This lotion is on my list of gender affirming products because my legs are so fish after I’m done shaving and I smell yummy.

This Micellar Cleansing Water is the only makeup remover I’ve used for the past four years. This stuff makes your makeup melt off with ease and keeps your skin feeling hydrated. This is one of my top gender affirming products because I can wear makeup everyday and not worry that I have any remaining makeup stuck in my pores.

These Cotton Pads from Up & Up are the perfect pairing for the micellar cleansing water. Cotton pads are so much better than using cotton balls, trust me. These are on my list of gender affirming products because I can take all my makeup off in only a few passes. Plus they look so good in a glass jar on your vanity.

CeraVe SA Cleanser

Okay whenever I introduce new skincare products into my skin routine I breakout and have to go back to my CeraVe Cleanser I have a very minimal routine that my sensitive skin appreciates. This cleanser is one of my gender affirming products because it’s an unscented gentle cleanser that lathers and get’s all the grime out of my skin. Ultimately it resets my skin so I have a smooth base for the next day.

This CeraVe Nightly Treatment is my favorite exfoliating treatment I’ve used. It’s relatively inexpensive and when I massage it into my skin after a few minutes all the dead skin peels off. It’s so satisfying and gross. This is on my list of gender affirming products because it keeps my pores small and my skin looking very feminine.

This Clay Mask from Khiel’s is the only clay mask I’ve used that visible reduces the appearance of pores as soon as I use it. I had it as a sample originally and I was hooked immediately. This is on my list of gender affirming products because it extracts buildup deep in my pores that come from wearing makeup every day.

The Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips extract all the gunk that’s stuck in my nose pores. I use these twice a week and I love pulling them off and looking at all the nasty stuff left over, it’s so satisfying. These tweezers from Japonesque are so precise they’re perfect for eyebrows or facial hair! I love being able to grab one hair and feel the cuticle slide out of my pore lmao. In all seriousness though these tweezers don’t play, they have amazing grip. These tweezers are on my list for gender affirming products because I’m able to pluck my eyebrows and stache with ease.

If you need a pair of tweezers that are even more precise then these ones from Tweezerman are for you! Just be careful you don’t poke an eye out. These tweezers are on my list of gender affirming products because sometimes there’s one little hair that no one else can see but you and she’s stubborn. Regardless she has to go and these are the tweezers for that job.

This spoolie from e.l.f is perfect for when you’re doing your brows. If you don’t use a spoolie while your plucking or trimming you may come out with some crazy overplucked brows. Speaking from experience, mine looked crazy a year ago. This spoolie is on my list of gender affirming products because eyebrows are important and they can change your whole face!

I’m not sure if I’ve been using the wrong scissors this whole time but these scissors work great for trimming your eyebrows. Just don’t forget to grab your spoolie! These scissors are on my gender affirming products list because like I said before, eyebrows can change your face. Eyebrows are important.

I usually like to get my nails done but whenever I’m taking a break from my acrylics I go for this cult classic by Essie. It’s the perfect, don’t look at my nails color. It’s also just a good color to have, I think its an iteration of Chanel’s Vamp. This product is on my list of gender affirming products because it will always be one of my favorite polishes, plus the finish of Essie is amazing.

O.P.I. Nail Polish- Do You Sea What I Sea?

Blue nail polish can be polarizing but this polish from O.P.I is that girl! This might be my favorite polish color of all time. It is the most beautiful, true, electric blue. The picture does not do it justice. If I’m wearing it I get a lot of comments. This polish is one of my favorite gender affirming products because it makes me feel like a manic pixie dream girl. And I’m sorry but no one pulls that off better than a trans woman I’m sorry lol.

This is my favorite perfume for daily wear, I always get comments on it, from boys in particular. If that means anything to you. The main notes are Pear, Orris, and Marshmallow. This scent is so pretty and dainty but definitely has some projection. This is on my list of gender affirming products because perfume has the power to shift people’s perception of you. Plus I like smelling pretty.

With Winter coming up we can’t be having no crusty man hands. This is why I always keep some aquaphor with me during the cold season in the city. This product is on my list of essential gender affirming products because it makes sure my hands don’t get dry and cracked. Which in particular looks scary when you have nails.

This hand sanitizer brand is so adorable I know you’ve seen it at the checkout line in Sephora. We wanna make sure our hands are clean when we don’t access to soap and water. But what makes this a super cute addition to my list of gender affirming products is that it comes in all these pretty scents. And also how c*nt is it to have in your purse?!

This is one of my favorite body mists! Probably because it’s deathly gourmand and inherently feminine. It’s also a nice option if you’re looking for some perfume that doesn’t break the bank. This product is on my list of gender affirming products because the scent is so sweet and girly!

I know this may seem so random but us girlies be getting our little headaches so I like to keep them in my purse at all times. This product can’t undo damage but it prevents further breakage. It also encourages your curl pattern to come back. It also smells so good!

This is my favorite product from K18, if you’re going to choose only one to invest in. I’d say choose this hair oil. It’s ultra concentrated so it lasts a long time and it also doubles as a heat protectant when you use it on wet hair. This is an amazing addition to my list of gender affirming products because it keeps my hair looking smooth for days on end! This product also makes my hair smell amazing!

Bellami Hair Extensions are some of the most well known extensions on the market. It’s the hair I use for my K-Tips and Wefts. The quality of my hair is amazing and I forget I have extensions in until wash day. If you don’t want to wait for the biotin gummies to work I’d say Bellami is definitely worth the investment. I’d say this is one of the most gender affirming products on this list because having long hair alleviated a lot of my dysphoria!

I have two pairs of shoes from Schutz. Including my latest investment shown above. Guys these shoes are sooooo c*nt I have to stop myself from going on the website too much and indulging beyond my means. This brand is on my list of gender affirming products because I feel their styles are ahead of the trends and on top of that, the brand runs about 1/2 a size big which means I wear a 9.5 instead of a 10. So fish.

Wild Pair

Wild Pair is sold at Macy’s and these were my go-to going out shoes this summer. Seriously they went with everything and they’re so sexy! These shoes in particular are one of my go-to gender affirming products to me because this style made my feet look super delicate and not so clunky… anyone else get self conscious about their shoe size? When I do I just remember Paris Hilton wears a size 11!

Circus NY is where you should go if you’re looking for a really fun and playful heel. These shoes don’t mess around and the styles are so wacky, you will find unique pieces and they tend to be comfortable, great for walking around the city. This top from Aritzia is one of my all time faves. It’s double lined, snatches your waist, and emphasizes your curves. In particular this shirt is on my list of gender affirming products because it gives me some cleavage and I have no tits so that’s saying something.

Skinny high waisted jeans are not your friend for most pre op trans women. Just because it emphasizes straightness (brick) and doesn’t give you any curve. These jeans from Levi’s are perfect because they balance the body if you’re broader on top (me). These jeans are on my list of gender affirming products because flare jeans are so feminine and they emphasize curve and length. Whenever I wear these jeans with some platform clogs people ask me if I model. Not joking.

I get so many compliments (and stares) whenever I wear this jacket from Jaded London! What puts this jacket on my list of gender affirming products is the fact that it has removable shoulder pads. This means we don’t have to size up in order to fit our shoulders.

Pacsun has some amazing basics like this sweater. The quality is not bad for what you pay for! If you need a simple tank top, sweater, or loungewear… PacSun is the way to go. This bra from Intimissimi is one of the only bras I’ve found that fit me well. In fact all of the bras (that aren’t training or sports bras) that I’ve actually worn (and loved) are from this brand. They’re around the same price range as Victorias Secret and SKIMS. This is on my list of gender affirming products because the bra is so soft and comfortable and these bras are the closest I’ve ever come to filling one out. I wear a 36 B (crazy).

This slip from Victorias Secret is one of my favorite things I’ve ever purchased! It feels so good against my skin and fits perfectly even though I have like no boobs. We love adjustable straps.
